creating a space to foster
creative thinking

“Like a child who grows up dreaming of being a professional ball player and eventually gets signed by his favorite team, having the opportunity to design an architecture school and enhance the learning experience by modeling the elements of creativity, resource responsibility and character is a thrill and an honor.” – Mykhaylo Kulynych, Principal

Delivering a Delicious Retail Space for A Cupcake Warrior

When Victoria Donnelly won the Cupcake Wars on the Food Network’s reality show, she decided to use her prize money to launch a retail base for her online cupcake business, Cakeology, which delivered homemade cupcakes throughout the Boston area.  She “sifted and shifted” operations from her own kitchen into a space that brought her brand to life, including Bruce the Panda and her signature pink packaging.  The shop is highly reflective of Victoria’s winning personality with its boutique flair.

creating an environment that Keeps An Iconic Brand Fresh And Ready To Serve

We worked closely with Richard J. Dias, Jr., Thermos President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as a small team of Thermos managers, to conceptualize and design a new headquarters space for the 108 year old company and its iconic brand.  The goal was to redefine the workplace by creating an open plan conducive to teamwork.  The space features abundant natural light and innovative use of Thermos products incorporated to showcase the brand.  The project received an ALA (Association of Licensed Architects) Silver Medal Interior Design Award.

Creating a Next Generation Workspace for a Young Workforce

With a staff of “new generation” workers, PR powerhouse MSLGroup needed a space to attract and retain fresh talent.  It also had to be built for collaboration, fun and spontaneous interaction – all trademarks of how their younger generation prefers to work.  The dramatic reception area is designed “wow” clients and vendors, and is a source of pride for employees. The staff makes great use of the the open, bright space, which also provides several private nooks and cozy alternative work settings. The office space has been used by several television programs while filming on location.
