Confidential Financial Services Client
Headquartered in Springfield, MA, this confidential financial services client is a mutually owned financial company and a premier provider of insurance, retirement planning, income management and other services for individuals, small and large business owners and corporate and institutional markets.

NELSON provided architectural design services for the client's leased space, of approximately 24,000 SF, in the Boston metropolitan area. The client’s goals were to unite two very different groups into one space (on a single floor) and create a solid presence in Boston for continued business growth. Their new space can serve up to 250 people, both customers and employees, and includes flexible space that meets the needs of the occupants for both day and evening activities.

While embarking on a new standard, the client continued to experiment with program and design revisions throughout the process – even through construction. The NELSON team presented option-rich schemes in a rapid-fire manner while staying on schedule.

The client is adverse to risk and this project represented a departure from their norm. It pushed our client out of their comfort zone and forced them to embrace their brand in a new way. They believe they got more than what they asked for – a WOW space that has enhanced their business.
