To accommodate growth, the Seyfarth Shaw LLP Atlanta office relocated to a 68,000 SF space in a mixed-use development in bustling Midtown.
A 160 SF universal office for every attorney creates an efficiency of less than 680 SF per attorney and 48 attorneys per floor. Lawyers are dispersed, versus organized by practice area, to enable cross-selling and promote the client relationship development process. A revised legal secretary configuration promotes communication and permit a more team-oriented approach to support the attorneys. Ultimately, the finished workspace allows for coverage, cross training, equipment sharing, and balancing of workload.
A client conference center is adjacent to the reception area, a departure from the previous facility’s distributed conference room configuration. The staff lunchroom occupies the space on the window wall adjacent to the conference center. This arrangement allows for shared infrastructure like (plumbing, refrigeration, and catering) to supporting both the conference center and staff. An upgrade in finish and audio/visual equipment in the lunchroom supports the space being used internally beyond peak hours for meetings which were previously held in conference rooms designed for client meetings.
Consistent architectural, finish and technology elements were redefined, reinterpreted and implemented in the Atlanta office, promoting the firm's local and corporate culture. The space reflects the Seyfarth Shaw brand and its position as one of Atlanta’s fastest growing and most respected law firms.
Both the new development and the Seyfarth Shaw workplace are LEED® Commercial Interiors Gold certified.
