Theresa Williams Named TAMI Practice Area Leader

Theresa Williams, Principal at NELSON Chicago, has been named a Practice Area Leader for TAMI, NELSON’s newest practice area focusing on Technology, Advertising, Media & Information Business.  She is the second practice area leader named for TAMI.  NELSON announced Stacy Chambers as the other leader earlier this month.

Williams brings nearly 20 years of varying project experience to the TAMI practice area. She has led teams to create industry-recognized designs for companies such as Gogo, SAP Fieldglass, DigitasLBi, and Starcom Mediavest. She looks forward to growing the TAMI Practice Area.

“As TAMI companies continue to grow and represent larger shares of the real estate market, it is important that designers understand the importance of flexibility in space and accommodating and anticipating future trends and needs.  Part of what makes a design memorable for a client is designing a workspace that is made for how they create at work and enhances their culture,” said Williams.

Representing the fastest rising star in real estate markets across the country, NELSON’s TAMI practice area is responding to the leaps and bounds in technological advances these companies are making. Companies like Verizon, Cisco, Publicis Groupe, Civis Analytics, and Google in not only workstyle and space requirements, but disruptive innovation in their respective industries.

“As we continue to grow and evolve our firm to respond to the latest trends happening not only in the design world, but across a variety of industries we serve, we are combining our design and planning leadership to form creative powerhouses. Through her work with some of the most recognized TAMI companies, Theresa has solid and strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities these organizations have when it comes to their workplace environments. I’m excited to have her lead this effort,” said John “Ozzie” Nelson Jr, Chairman and CEO of NELSON.

Williams received Bachelor degrees from Indiana University and Harrington College of Design. In her spare time, she likes to renovate historic homes. She is currently working on her fifth where
