Senior Architect/Technical Director

We are currently seeking a Senior Architect/Technical Director to work in our Minneapolis, MN office. The Technical Director will serve as a Senior Architect and be responsible for technical design, quality control, and reviewing construction documents for interior architecture projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical reviews in accordance with NELSON Quality Assurance Protocol
  • Collaborates with Design Director to drive built environment innovations
  • Communicate technical processes to teammates in the region. Conduct monthly technical meeting
  • Oversee Quality Control and implementation of corporate standards as related to document production
  • Maintain consistent execution of technical review in the region
  • Mentor technical staff in the region
  • Review, sign and seal Architectural documents
  • Meet regularly with Studio Managers to proactively identity technical issues, and to plan workflow, schedule and resources
  • Participates in business development efforts as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minimum 15 years of experience in an Architecture profession
  • Architectural license required
  • Experience working on corporate interiors projects
  • Ability to mentor and be a resource for junior level architecture and interior design staff
