This iconic manufacturer of lunchboxes and beverage containers has been a part of growing up for generations. The design team conceptualized an office that showcases the brand, but in a forum that highlights the aesthetics of their products rather than their known utility. The architecture and color palettes were chosen to create a light and calm atmosphere allowing the product displays to be the artwork for the office. Creative open planning and orienting offices to the interior allow natural light to flow throughout the space, giving it a gallery aesthetic. Working with local artists, the design team created several installations of the client’s products. The waiting area features a backdrop of floating beverage containers in a Warhol-esque celebration of this American brand. In a breakout zone, stainless steel lids are organically installed as a series of sparkling decorative panels, intertwined with a white wall writing surface, showcasing the craftsmanship of their products. In the café, plaid lunch box lids become wall art for this indoor/outdoor eating and meeting zone. The overall affect allows visitors to focus on the great design that goes into the products, and gives employees a sense of pride in the works of art that they create.
