South Hill Business and Technology Center
NELSON revitalized South Hill Business & Technology Center’s vacant microchip manufacturing plant to reposition it for new tenants and new uses. The 92-acre site contains a complex of 10 buildings totaling over 700,000 square feet. NELSON developed multiple master plan strategies for the site. The selected strategy created a stronger, more impactful, modernized presence for two main buildings. Significant exterior and interior improvements were made to the entry structures and plaza. New parking areas with rain gardens, covered walkways, plazas for future cafes, and considerable landscaping modifications were also implemented. Additionally, NELSON performed tenant improvement upgrades to approximately 30,000 square feet of office space.
