Dow Jones retained the NELSON Boston Team with assistance from local Chicago Teammates to design its new office workplace in Chicago’s iconic West Loop. In the height of the new age of media this relocation was undertaken in order to better reflect their corporate workplace criteria as well as the needs of their employees. Addirionally, Dow Jones required consolidations and less space than their existing lease occupied so they decided upon a new location within their current building to capture their vision. NELSON Boston fashioned unique elements that capture the city’s vibrant history and allure while adding a local flair. Graffiti created on-site by a local high-school artist celebrates the invention of the aerosol can, and graphics of Wrigley Field and the iconic ”EL” tracks give the illusion of being out and about the city. The clean modern space exemplifies Dow Jones’s new direction toward a contemporary, collaborative work environment that successfully addresses their real estate needs. This successful partnership has led to newly completed and ongoing projects in Houston, Minneapolis, New York City and Los Angeles.
Looking for a fresh new concept that not only captured elements of the music industry but also the city of Minneapolis, Pandora Internet Radio turned to NELSON to provide interior design services for the renovation of their existing office in the IDS Tower.
