NELSON’s Holiday Spirit Dazzles in the Minneapolis Holidazzle Village

In light of the upcoming holiday season, NELSON, a global interior design, architecture, engineering and consulting services firm has donated its services to the Holidazzle Village display in Minneapolis, MN. Along with the company’s branding and engineering divisions, RipBang Studios and Brinjac Engineering, NELSON has designed a stage and village attractions to partake in the European style village in an effort to help spread the holiday cheer throughout downtown Minneapolis.

The Twin Cities is home to John “Ozzie” Nelson Jr., Chairman and CEO of NELSON, who is an active member of the civic community. The firm’s Minneapolis office is one of its fastest growing in the NELSON network. “I am both elated and proud to be giving back to the Minneapolis community, especially during the holiday season,” said Nelson. “Seeing the many divisions of NELSON working together as one on the Holidazzle display project is truly exciting.” NELSON’s involvement in the project was also strongly influenced by its commitment to the Minneapolis Downtown Council and its relationship with local commercial real estate firm, Ryan Companies US Inc.

Based on popular characters from the Nutcracker Ballet, the village includes a nutcracker, sugarplum fairy and a friendly, red nosed reindeer. The characters were designed to speak to all Holidazzle visitors alike, represent a wide variety of cultures and embody the holiday spirit. The motif for the layered wooden ornaments was inspiration for the overall aesthetic of the village. Specific features include gateway pillars with characters, street banners, a reindeer barn, Santa’s workshop and a stage. The Holidazzle Village will be open to the public starting November 28th.

In addition to this year’s display, NELSON has agreed and already begun to design characters for future editions of the Holidazzle Village. The new characters will tie into this year’s theme while also adding variety throughout the coming years.
