Educational Space in Corporate Environments

Educational Space in Corporate Environments

It’s often said that learning is a lifelong endeavor. As technology continues to evolve and affect both our personal and professional lives, this has never been truer. We’re finding a growing trend amongst our clients – they are seeing the benefit in providing their employees the opportunity to learn and grow right in the office.

Traditional training spaces that feature large conference rooms and projectors are giving way to multi-use, adaptable and flexible spaces that feature state of the art audio and visual equipment. These rooms can be easily reconfigured to be used for large company meetings, training and educating small groups, and as in-house lab spaces that encourage employees to test out and create new company products, services and processes.

Companies such as Google and Apple pioneered the idea of work as learning in the early 2000’s by incorporating the principles of continuous growth into their culture. Nearly 20 years later, this once revolutionary idea is seen in both the Fortune 500 corporation and the small startup. As business rethink their conventional office models and the way people work, learning spaces are moving up in priority.  Check out a few NELSON projects that are embracing this trend!
