NELSON’s logo incorporates a stylized version of the classic square-foot symbol. It represents the fact that NELSON is well established with 30 years of solid experience in the industry and symbolizes the facilities-oriented services that we provide for a broad range of clients. However, the application of our teal and yellow colors and the modern, somewhat abstract approach to its design gives the logo a more contemporary, artistic feel. This refers to the two sides of NELSON – the solid, dependable, strategic approach that allows us to continue to serve key industries, and the unique, innovative, passionate side that allows us to provide creative, valuable solutions to all our clients’ needs.
It is a simple, striking, memorable symbol of who we are.
Confetti
The six confetti blocks represent NELSON’s six integrated lines of business. Their square shape reinforces the shape of the NELSON logo. The color variations, all within the spectrum of teal, remind us that our six lines of business have their own unique identities based on their areas of expertise and the services they provide, yet they are united and integrated under the NELSON umbrella. Coordinating all these various services can be complex but NELSON’s unique model of “one stop shopping” makes it simple for clients.
The confetti also serves double duty as a symbol for NELSON’s 30th Anniversary celebration. The fact that the confetti is locked in its “celebratory” position – as if it is being tossed up in the air at all times – provides a graphic consistency as well as a sense of “fun” for the duration of the campaign. After the campaign is concluded, the confetti will continue to represent the six lines of business.
Squares
Another reminder of the logo is the overall use of squares as part of the branding. Squares are a classic shape in design and their incorporation in the NELSON brand is a subtle nod to the clean, sophisticated artwork of Mondrian. The layering of squares – as seen in the background on our website as well as other collateral material – also refers back to the complexity of the work we do and coordinate across our six lines of business. There are many complex elements to what we do for our clients yet, in our hands it looks easy… just like the work of a true master.
Tagline
As part of our 30th Anniversary campaign, NELSON is introducing a new tagline that we feel will serve us well for at least the next 30 years.
Focused on Creation, Passion to Deliver
The tagline contains words that can be strongly associated with descriptions of our brand:

These words represent who NELSON is now and who we will remain at our core as we continue to grow, improve and evolve in an ongoing effort to serve our clients’ needs.
